Framed

Lately my interests have been towards traditionally handcrafted products. Not only are they well made but it also continues a tradition that has started a long time ago. Sometimes these skills have been handed down from generation to generation, in particular one brand that goes by the name of Maison Bonnet which is a 4th generation business based in France that specializes in eye glass frames. Frank Bonnet is the craftsman behind the brand in which he moulds the frames to your needs from an open flame. They are famous for their tortoiseshell frames that yes are actually made from tortoiseshells. Not like those other frames out there that are made to look like that. Even though turtle hunting is illegal, Maison Bonnet still stock the shells from years ago.

Do you feel that handcrafted items are more valuable to you?
